I know, I know but what can you do when mum gets a job and my literary career has to take a back seat. I may have to ask dad to step in as I would hate to loose the many followers I have.
Over the last few weeks I have enjoyed vast amounts of treats owing to the large amount of training I am undertaking. Heel work is progressing well, providing I don't have to go too far. Recall is good providing there isn't any nice smelly fish bones on the beach. A delicacy for Danes but probably not good for us. I'm pretty much house trained now except when no one notices I'm sat at the back door. Well it was only a small amount but I can cover quite a large area when I move my appendage back and forth.
As there has been so much rain over the last few months, I've managed to redesign the garden to include a mud slide, mud bath and swimming pool. I was particularly delighted with the positioning of the pool to allow for excellent views of the garden. The new mud face pack I've invented really doesn't need to stay on too long in order to enhance my gorgeousness. In fact dad does tend to rub it off as soon as I walk in the kitchen. If I charge around the garden I can manage a pebble dash appearance to my under carriage.
This weekend I will be staying with my human sister. Will let you know how I get on. I have a few tricks up my sleeve!!!

New Experiences
Last Monday took the parents to their first puppy class. Someone needs to teach them how to train me. Met about 6 new friends one was about my size, the rest were quite small. One the whole I was well behaved and learnt what I needed to do to get a few treats, mainly looking at mum and dad. I've also noticed they haven't been using my name when I do something wrong, so I'm happier to listen when they do call my name.
Went into town a few times to get me used to different things, apparently they have a list to tick off. So I did meet someone with a trolley and a long scarf. that was good fun hanging off the end of it. Mum was a bit red faced but I did leave it straight away so got a treat for that. An ambulance went by with the siren sounding and mum said I was very calm and sat nice and still. There was lots of traffic and apart from pulling on the lead I handled the noise very well. Plenty of people stopped to say hello so I got lots more treats.
Had a few trips to the seaside for yet more training. Working on a long lead for my recall. Wasn't too bad but there are so many smells and the taste of seaweed is just divine. Still the sausage and chicken they brought as treats did have a bit of pulling power. They left me in the car when we got back home, only for 5 minutes so I just sat and waited.
Mum keep playing with my ears, eyes and opening my mouth. Apparently helps if I'm used to being touched around the face. Okay fine just give me the treats. They decided to cut my nails, did try a grinder but I definately didn't like that. Was quite happy when they used the clippers though and they fed me of course.
Time to log off. See you soon.

Christmas antics
Christmas was great. Loads of wrapping paper to get rid of. I helped by tearing it into small pieces for mum and dad. Loads of people came to stay so I got plenty of attention. Really enjoyed Christmas dinner, shame I couldn't have the pudding. Weather was pretty abismal so every time I go out to the garden I come back in covered in mud. Supposed to be good for the complexion so I will look even more gorgeous. (Is that possible?)
There was a couple of good days so we went to the seaside and I got to meet a few friends one of which was a big dog like me, except she was much bigger than me. Dad said she was a 3year old mantle Great Dane. I've arranged to meet her again when I am a bit older! We went to the cafe again. I was so good and got plenty of attention. My lead walking needs work so I will spend some time training mum and dad as I would hate to pull them over. Got the hang of sit. I tend to do it for everything. Down, stay, stand and leave are all coming along well, though I haven't done this outside as yet. Mum says we will be going puppy training soon so we will soon see how good I am.
Dad weighed me last week and I am now 22kg. Gradually growing into my feet and ears, and my nose is less wrinkly. May be going into the town this week, apparently lots of people and traffic. I will let you know how I get on.

New experiences so far.
As it starts to get dark and the lights are switched on I have noticed another dog sitting opposite me. I've tried barking and growling but as I walk towards him he gets closer to me. I don't know if he is friendly so I run behind the sofa and peer out. Strange he is behind a sofa as well. Can't quite get my head around this one.
Mum and dad took me to the seaside this week. I was in the back of the car on my own. I made it known I wasn't pleased but gave up whining after a while and enjoyed the ride. Apparently we live quite close to the sea and will visit often. I wasn't too keen on the sea. It was a bit windy and the waves were crashing in. Dad had me on the lead well away so I was nice and safe. Dad said I was a good boy for walking so well on the lead. We only had a very short walk as being a Great Dane I have to care of my joints as it can cause me problems later on if I walk to far as a puppy. Did I mention that in my first year I will grow the equivalent to 19 human years!!!!! So I could rest up mum and dad took me on my first visit to a cafe. Passed that test with flying colours. Stayed nice and calm, with the help of a few treats, whilst they drunk their coffee. Then on to Tesco where mum disappeared off to do her shopping. Met loads of people from 2 years to 90 years. Of course they all fell in love with me. Dad told mum I was absolutely brilliant so calm, no biting and I didn't disgrace myself. Went mad when I got home though, rugs, shoes, slippers arms, legs were all fair game. Well I can't be good all the time.
Not sure if I'll be back before Christmas but I'll let you know how I get on over the festive season.
Merry Christmas. Gorgeous George.

What I got up to this week!!!!!!!!!!!
How did I know it's a rug, I thought it was bear and got my retaliation in first.
I just thought the cushion would look better at the end of my bed. But do watch out as I can now reach them on the sofa.
Dad I was just fetching it for you, honest.

My first time out
Talk about baptism of fire. Mum and dad had to go to Bristol which meant I had to go to. Apparently I was really good in the car. When we arrived dad put me on the lead and lifted me out of the car. Bet he won't be doing that in a few months time. Wow all this space, no fences, I just need to go over there or perhaps this way, wait maybe this direction, okay I guess I go the way dad wants me to go. Then we go into this huge building, lots of different noises and then lots of people. Everyone wanted a stroke and they all said how handsome I was (of course), and how big my paws and ears are. Well you'd be that shape if you were going to grow as big as I will.
Then back in the car just for a short time and then out onto to some grass. Thank goodness I was busting. Met even more people apparently nan and grandad and brothers. Checked out the house just to make sure I would be happy enough should I need to stay here in the future. Yep fits the bill, good size garden with plenty of grass for my ablutions, all on one level so no stairs to worry about. After a short snooze we were back in the car for the return journey.
Mum and dad were saying how good I had been, no biting, no accidents and nice and calm. Looks like I might be let out a bit more, tomorrow perhaps?
Things went a bit to pot tonight. I just felt, well, a little bit crazy. So I charged around with the door stop, pee'd on the floor twice after I'd been taken out, tore up the newspaper in the porch and was generally a pain. Great back to normal. Can't wait for tomorrow!!!!!!
